About Carolyn
Podiatry / chiropody
Carolyn is the owner of Heller Podiatry and she graduated from Salford University in 2013 with a first-class honours degree in Podiatry. She was promptly recruited by a Health Care Organisation in Australia to provide Podiatric care at their Nursing Homes, Supported Living facilities, Retirement villages and in people’s own homes in New South Wales. Some of her work took her to more rural parts of the State and she became a “Flying Pod” as her daily commute often meant flying out to these distant communities. Carolyn has worked in Dementia Specific Homes and Units and has a Post Qualifying Certificate from the University of Derby in working with people with Dementia. She has also studied several online Dementia courses and is a ‘Dementia Friend’. After 6 years away from family and friends, Carolyn returned to the UK and set up Heller Podiatry where she continues her work with people of all ages and covering all aspects of Podiatry/Chiropody although her specialism is in the assessment and treatment of heel pain including plantar fasciitis.
Carolyn is fully insured and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. She attends regular training and continuing professional development courses to keep her practice and knowledge up to date and to develop her skills further.
We also have Podiatrists who work for us on an ad hoc basis who are HCPC registered and fully insured and have a high level of experience.
